Russian international but denied any done deal at the moment.
Pogrebnyak’s future at the club has been subject to widespread speculation in the past few weeks. The player has lost his first team place to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Martin-Harnik-c24374 and has reportedly expressed his desire to leave the club therefore, putting
many clubs on high alert.
Steve Bruce is a huge admirer of the player and wants to add attacking flare to the squad after the departure of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Danny-c10193 Wellbeck back to Manchester United after the loan spell finished.
Artemov revealed that there has been an inquiry from the Black Cats for a possible transfer for the player but insisted that the club has not placed a concrete offer. He added that there is a host of other clubs who are in for
the player but it is up to the Russian international to decide.
“Sunderland are one of the clubs who approached us concerning Pavel. Besides them, there are some other teams from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 and Germany who contact me from time to time. None of that went as far as some negotiations between the
clubs,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The agent stated that Pogrebnyak has proved his worth in the Bundesliga and it will be a delight to watch him compete in the English Premier League. He remained confident that the player would be with a great club in the next season.
