VfB Stuttgart forward http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Shinji-Okazaki-c33366 has expressed his delight on putting his name on the score sheet against Schalke in the club’s season opener. The attacker scored the last goal as Die Roten ended the game as 3-0 winners and
put in a brilliant performance.
Stuttgart defeated last season’s German Cup winners Schalke at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in their first Bundesliga match of the season. The Reds looked to be in great touch and far from the team they were last season. They overcame

Okazaki, who joined the German side in January this year from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Shimizu-S-Pulse-c40506, was elated after guiding his team to victory and claimed that it was a dream start to the season for him.
The striker scored a sensational goal from outside the box with his left foot to beat Ralf Fahrmann and score his first goal of the season. He added that it was great to return from injury and score in a very important match.
The Japanese international suffered an ankle injury in training last month and was doubtful for the opening clash against Schalke but recovered ahead of time to start the match on the bench. He came on in the second-half and scored
the third and final goal moments before full-time to end the match with an impressive 3-0 score line.
“I’m really delighted to have come on as a substitute today and then also to have scored a goal. During the pre-season preparations I was injured but I am fit again now thanks to the work done by Christos Papadopoulos,” the player
was quoted as saying in an interview to a sports website.
Shinji Okazaki scored two goals last season in a total of 14 appearances for Stuttgart since his move in January. He also has a brilliant record with the Japanese national team and has scored an impressive 21 goals so far in 43
appearances for the Samurai Blue.
