VfB Stuttgart striker Shinji Okazaki has stated that he wants to emulate international teammate Shinji Kagawa in the Bundesliga. He admitted that the Borussia Dortmund midfielder has been a revelation in the past two years and
that his performances have been sensational.
The striker also rued missed chances in the game against Dortmund this past weekend and insisted that Die Roten could have won the game if they had played slightly better.

 “It would have been a completely different game if we'd scored a second goal. But the goal during additional time changed everything ... I was disappointed at being substituted, but since I didn't create any big chances it can't
be helped,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The player hailed Japanese national teammate Shinji Kagawa’s attacking threat in the game and admitted that he would definitely like to emulate him. He insisted that the comparisons between the two players are baseless as Kagawa
is a different player than him.
“[Kagawa] was incredibly threatening. He [and Gotze] played really close to the goal. They played like I want to play. That said, neither of us scored, so we'll see what happens next time we play each other,” the attacker concluded.
VfB Stuttgart currently sit in sixth place and have secured 18 points from the 11 games played so far. They have secured five wins and have suffered three losses in the process and are seven points adrift of Bundesliga leaders
Bayern Munich.
