VfL Wolfsburg midfielder Hasan Salihamidzic is ecstatic ahead of his club’s next game against Bayern Munich. The player vowed to do well against his former club in what could be a decent affair between the two sides. Munich are fresh from a defeat against
Monchengladbach while Wolfsburg emerged victorious in their opening game against FC Koln.
Salihamidzic mentioned that Die Wolfe are favourites to win against the Bavarian giants as Jupp Heynckes’ side will be under immense pressure going into the game on Saturday. He remembered his time at Allianz Arena saying that that the club gave him lot
of respect but now all his focus is on leading his current club to a win over his former one.
The 34-year-old reckoned that this is going to be a huge moment in his career and was looking forward to welcome Heynckes and his men to Volkswagen Arena.
In an interview to a local newspaper, the midfielder enthused, "I'm thrilled, I'm really looking forward to this game. If I were to say now that this is just a normal game for me, I'd be lying. I had a great time at Bayern, but now I just want to get the
best possible result with Wolfsburg. Of course they are under pressure to win and we want to beat them."
The Bosnian midfielder made his Bundesliga debut for the club in the opening game against FC Koln on Saturday. Die Wolfe won that game by a 3-0 margin courtesy a brace from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marcel-c23507 Schafer.
Salihamidzic is all set to appear in the club’s next game at home to Bayern and has wished to score against his former side. He urged his side to stay focus against the Bavarian giants and maintain the same levels of concentration and composure for all the
future assignments.
The midfielder joined the club this summer from Juventus on a one-year deal. He spent four years with the Turin Giants and made 61 league appearances for the club, netting seven goals during the process. During his 10-year international career, Hasan earned
43 caps for his adapted country and scored six goals.
