VfL Wolfsburg eye Eric Pereira as Diego’s replacement – Bundesliga news

The Brazilian earlier requested a way out of the club following turbulent relations between the player and manager Felix Magath.
The club had plenty of options shortlisted for that role but it was recently revealed that Pereira’s arrival is the priority should the Brazilian leave.
Magath mentioned that Pereira’s form has been brilliant recently and could best fill in the boots of the 26-year-old. The manager expressed no concern with the possible departure of the Brazilian and had immense confidence on his troops for the new campaign.
He mentioned that the club would certainly finish the 2011/12 season on a high and urged his side to step up a few gears in order to achieve the desired results.

The midfielder mentioned that he wished to play in one of the top leagues some day and playing for the former Bundesliga champions would be a greater prospect.
However, the 25-year-old left the matter to the Romanian club, while Die Wolfe have agreed to pay a 2 million Euro fee for the player in order to lure him to the country.
