VfL Wolfsburg looking to make 12 million Euros offer for Olympique Lyonnais player Miralem Pjanic – Ligue 1 news

The former FC Metz playmaker has seen a torrid end of 2010/2011 season at the Stade Gerland. Pjanic made 30 league appearances for Les Gones this season but not made a lot of starts. The youngster was linked with a move away from the Rhone giants in the
January transfer window but the then Lyon coach Claude Puel chose to keep him.
Wolfsburg have been monitoring Pjanic’s situation at Lyon for a long time and are now considering making a bid for the talented midfielder. Diego made more headlines in the 2010/2011 Bundesliga due to his lack of discipline rather than his performances. Felix Magath, a well-known disciplinarian has now lost his patience for Diego and is looking to offload the former Werder Bremen star this summer.
L’Equipe now claims that Wolfsburg are currently readying a cheque of 12 million Euros in order to secure the services of the out-of-favour Pjanic who is also eager to get regular game time next season. The youngster is under contract at Lyon until 2013
but Lyon might be pushed hard by the German side as the seven-time Ligue 1 champions need to sell a few players before they can sign new ones.
However, Remi Garde might not be keen on letting go of the talented midfielder and would be looking to keep hold of Pjanic. The youngster lost his place in the starting XI after the arrival of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Yoann-Gourcuff-c37416 at the club last summer.
Though Gourcuff turned out to be an expensive flop for Les Gones, former coach Claude Puel insisted on playing the former Bordeaux man in favour of Pjanic. With the arrival of Remi Garde as the club’s new coach, Pjanic might be expecting things to change.
Furthermore, Garde might also be looking to keep hold of a player who showed a lot of promise in his first two seasons at Lyon before his development was hindered due to Puel’s insistence of using Gourcuff who had a disappointing first season at Lyon.
