Felix Magath’s side have signed Czech international Petr Jiracek from Viktoria Plzen with the player signing a four-and-a-half year deal.
The struggling Bundesliga outfit have reached an agreement with the Czech champions for a transfer for the player. The midfielder impresses in the six UEFA Champions League appearances he made for the club this season and will
fly to Germany to play for the former Bundesliga winners.

Club tactician Felix Magath expressed his delight on signing the player and admitted that the midfielder’s experience would surely help the side. He admitted that the team desperately needed an anchorman in the centre of the park
and is impressed with Jiracek’s style of play.
“I'm pleased we've managed to secure a player with Champions League and international experience. Jiracek is a versatile midfielder with plenty of commitment and energy - qualities we’ll need for a better second half of the season,”

Peter Jiracek made 100 league appearances for Viktoria Plzen and scored 11 goals in the process. The player also has five international caps to his name.
