The Iran national coach, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carlos-c8346 Queiroz, has revealed that the VfL Wolfsburg striker, Ashkan Dejagah, could still play for his country and the decision is now in the youngster’s hands. He was talking after his recent appointment as the Team Melli manager,
succeeding the 47-year-old Afshin Ghotbi.

fans and the officials.

The striker, then, made his transfer to Wolfsburg in 2007 and has made 106 league appearances since then. He has 15 goals from those games which
is certainly not a good indicator of the striker’s abilities.
Queiroz further mentioned, “We sent one of our staff to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 to see Wolfsburg match. Every Iranian player who plays outside Iran has the right to join his country’s team. It depends on him. Dejagah could join us if he proves himself.”
Former Iran manager, Ghotbi, also raised some concerns over the youngster’s form during his stint and advised him to improve on his game. He also wanted the striker to be a part of the Iran squad but Dejagah could not impress the national selectors despite
agreeing to play for the Team melli.
Dejagah has represented Germany at different youth levels and showed glimpses of his abilities. He started playing with the German U17 side and was also a part of U21 side for four years (2005-09)
