Question:

ViP622 Wiring Question?

I'm due to have a ViP622 installed tomorrow by E* to replace my 211. I plan to use the dual-tuner to eliminate a receiver upstairs and also to allow DVR on two TVs. My problem as I see it is only having two coax lines available from the dish to the 622 downstairs. How can I have 2 satellite signals, an OTA antenna, and the signal for the 2nd TV running on two coax lines? The coax line to the 2nd tv is not a problem once the signal gets back from the 622 to the main junction for all the rooms in the house, but getting it there seems to be. Is there any solutions possible using diplexers, etc?

  1. the 622 will only need one cable to the dish, the installer will install a signal combiner for this. then you can use your second line for the ota signal. TV2 signal while be back fed threw the sat line using diplexers
