Hi. I'm going to be visiting Rome, Italy for 5 weeks for a school trip and we're going to be staying in Residence Candia. I don't know exactly where that is, but if anyone has heard of it, can you tell me if it's in a safe neighborhood or general descriptions of the area?

Thanks.

  1. it's centrally located but is not in the historic center; is well connected, you have nice shops and is near the Vatican. It's in a safe neighborhood .

  2. yes is in the city center. via candia (via means street) is a shopping area in the neoghborhood of prati, which was built in the 1890-1920, it's close to St. Peter basilica and Vatican City, and it's very safe. almost all the palaces are in victorian style with 5-6 floors. there is an open market where u can find everything.

it's close also to Cavour square, which is one of the benchmarks of the capital's night life...

sorry for my english, I'm italian, from

    Roma...
