Vicente Del Bosque pleased with Spanish performance against Italy

Nonetheless, the Spaniards joy was short lived, as just when the game was looking to end as a draw, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alberto-Aquilani-c4313 went on to score a very late and dramatic winner, to help the Italians pick up the win at home.
Following the conclusion of the game, Del Bosque blames http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011’s poor start to the game, to be the reason for their loss at the hands of the Italians. However, he later added that in the second half, the team played exceptionally well.
When talking to the media about the game, the manager started off by highlighting his sides poor start, as he stated: "We started out really shy"
He then turned his attention to the positives and admitted that the second half was much better than the first.
"I am really happy with the second-half, though. Generally speaking, this was a good match.”
However, not wanting his players to relax, he ended by mentioning how despite their good performance in the second half, the team went on to lose in the end.
"But in the second-half, when we had improved, the defeat happened."
As a result, the manager went on to unintentionally mention that the players really need to step up their game, or the Spanish dominance over the rest of the world might just be over.
Despite being a friendly, the game was lined with a number of injuries. The trio of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gerard-c14664 Pique and Andoni Iraola, all went on to pick up knocks during the course of the game. There have been no reports released revealing the severity of
the injuries to the players, but they should be up and running in a week’s time.
Nonetheless, Del Bosque for some odd reason felt that the game that was played was not an ordinary game. It is not clear if the manager was referring to the fact that the Italian home crowd played a crucial role in the game, or if he had something else on
his mind.
However, the manager departed by claiming: "We made a great effort, under circumstances which are not normal."
