Vicky Angga Saputra tames Aris Munandar in Men’s Singles second round at Pertamina Open
Indonesia’s emerging shuttler Vicky Angga Saputra showed a staggering performance and tamed his un-seeded challenger Aris Munandar in Men’s Singles second round at Pertamina Open Badminton Championships 2012 on Monday, December 10, at Jakarta, Indonesia.
The higher ranked Vicky Angga, who has been positioned at number 16 in Men’s Singles main draw in the tournament, continued playing impressive badminton and remained successful in showing exit to Aris in just 30 minutes.
Vicky Angga was quite comfortable on court as he played with tremendous speed and control in his shots and he managed to end up this Men’s Singles clash in straight games with an inspiring margin on the score board.
In contrast, the lower ranked Aris could not show his brilliance as he failed to match the speed of his challenger and eventually lost this second round contest without even attaining a reasonable total.
In the first game, Vicky Angga showed an amazing aggression on court and he did not take much time in controlling the pace of rallies from the opening points.
Vicky Angga was quite comfortable in taking the bird timely and he did not face any complication in executing his shots in right areas.
Until the mid-game break, it was the aggressive Vicky Angga who stayed focused on court and managed a comfortable difference on the board.

After the break, the lower ranked Aris tried his best but could not put up strong show as his rival Vicky Angga played better game and bagged the second set with a stunning margin of 21-9.
Vicky Angga remained successful in winning this second round match in a completely dictating fashion with a remarkable 21-15 and 21-9 score on the board.
