Question:

Vicodin Overdose's Affect on Alcohol Tolerance?

So about a few months ago, I had a vicodin overdose and was sent to ER. They put me on IV and I stayed overnight, because they said I had severe liver damage. They weren't sure if I would make it, but here I am. Anyways my question is did the liver damage cause my alcohol tolerance level to decrease? Last night I don't remember having too much to drink, but I got drunk really fast and before that took a while to happen. Also, does that say anything about the condition of my liver? Any answers or experiences will be appreciated. Thanks!

  1. It is not the best idea to drink if you have severe liver damage.  Perhaps, because your liver does not function as a healthy liver should, your body is unable to process the alcohol resulting in a higher percentage of alcohol making it into your system.
