Vicodin; gabapentin aka neurontin meds?

was just prescribed neurontin. with my vicodin as my vicodin isnt taking all my back and shoulder pain away. doc says this will take the pain away. anyone use this combo and got relief?

I have used both of them before but not in combination with each other.  I have had good results with the Vicodin but I found that when I took the Neurontin by itself (I took this in the late 90s for a nerve problem I had in my breast area at the time) that it did not work well for me.

I found out later that the Neurontin works best in combination with another medication such as like Vicodin or anti-inflammatory medications like one I took called Dolobid.
