Question:

Victims of Crime Compensation question?

by  |  earlier

I submitted a bill and was denied from a Calif. State run Victims of Crime Reimbursement because their policy is that "they do not cover Attorney's fees". I am going to re-submit this bill for them to reconsider with additional documentation. Do you have any ideas on how I might be successful in this?

  1. Probably not successful since there are pro bono lawyers you could have used or a state appointed one for free.

  2. if they don't compense for lawyer fees..then they don't..you have the requirements in front of you for what you will be compensated for..even here in New Jersey..one cannot get back any legal fees..but each state is different
