M. Rezky Alvarez, a talented shuttler from Indonesia, showed his staggering skills on court and he easily dominated his team-mate Wahyu Setia Budi in Boy’s Singles U13 at the Victor Walikota Surabaya Cup 2013 on Wednesday, May 8, in Indonesia.
The 10th seeded Alvarez, who is one of the most aggressive younger players in Indonesia, played with great confidence and remained successful in showing exit to Wahyu by winding up the contest in just 20 minutes.
Alvarez played with smashing speed and precision all the way in this Boy’s Singles contest and remained successful in winning the match in straight sets with a stunning margin of 21-8 and 21-10.
Meanwhile, Wahyu was shocked on court as he received a cruel treatment from his higher ranked opponent. He tried to play competitive badminton but failed to avoid throwing negative points and eventually lost the match in lopsided way.
The impressive Alvarez showed a wonderful aggression on court from the starting points of first game by building a huge pressure on his challenger.
Alvarez showed that he has got top class skills as he played all of his shots with great accuracy and remained successful in taking a strong position in the arena.
Until the end of starting half of first set, the in-form Alvarez achieved a strong position on score board by establishing a reasonable lead.
After the one-minute break, Alvarez continued playing positive badminton while staying focused on court and remained successful in maintaining a spectacular lead on the board.
Alvarez was quite calm and composed in the arena as he did not take pressure and won the opening game with a staggering margin of 21-8.
The higher ranked Alvarez did not lose his superiority at any stage in the starting half of second set as he played with confidence and precision.
Until the end of first half, the impressive Alvarez remained consistent in playing with command and variations and stayed ahead on score board.
Alvarez continued putting up reasonable show in the ending half of second game and remained successful in winning the game with a sound 21-10 difference on score board.
