Victoria Azarenka pens down a contract with supplement producers – Tennis News
World number one, Victoria Azarenka, is the latest addition to the supreme list of brand ambassadors for the Six Star Pro Nutrition. She has penned down the contract with the sports supplement providers and will be seen in their
promotion campaigns.
"Despite her young age, Victoria’s already had a string of successes on the court, including the number one ranking in women’s tennis," said Vito Sanzone who is the Chief Marketing Officer of Iovate Health Sciences International.
She further added, "But we know that this is only the start of what will be a promising career and we’re proud to be a part of it."
Azarenka was pleased to sign a deal as well. She commented, "I’m extremely excited to be a part of the Six Star team and be an advocate for a brand I believe in. This partnership gives me the opportunity to reach out and inspire
more young women to pursue and achieve their goals."
In the first Grand Slam Championship of the year, the Australian Open, Azarenka defied all the odds to beat the Russian superstar, Maria Sharapova, in the final to claim her maiden Major title as well as the number one slot in
the world; replaced the Dane beauty queen, Caroline Wozniacki.
She had a formidable start to the year; having a remarkable unbeaten run of 26 matches. During that supreme winning form, she grabbed four titles on the trot including the Apia Sydney International, the Australian Open, the Qatar
Ladies Open and the BNP Paribas Open. The first match she lost was in the quarter-final of the Sony Ericsson Open at Miami. Number one Frenchwoman, Marion Bartoli, ended her unbeaten streak and moreover denied the Belarusian tennis icon to defend her title
successfully.
Azarenka continued to perform well but players like Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova stepped up the gear as well and started winning titles. Sharapova who failed to grab the top spot in the Australian Open final was able to
claim her throne back after grabbing her first ever French Open title in Paris in June. She completed her career Slam as well and topped the world rankings; triple glory for the Russian.
However, an early exit for the Russian number one in the Wimbledon Championships opened up the top slot for Azarenka again. She reached the semi-final stage of the tournament and the loss of the Pole queen, Agnieszka Radwanska,
in the final confirmed her new world number again.
