Victoria Azarenka slays Agnieszka Radwanska to reach the semis – BNP Paribas Open 2012
World number one, Victoria Azarenka, plonked the Polish ace, Agnieszka Radwanska, with a bagel at the BNP Paribas Open 2012 on Wednesday. She jolted down a 6-0, 6-2 victory over the fifth
seed to book a spot in the final four at this Premier Mandatory event taking place in Indian Wells, United States.
Clashing each other for the 12th time, Azarenka displayed faultless performance to wind up the first 11 games successively against the Polish number one. After pocketing the match
in 68 minutes, the Belarusian not only extended lead in the head-to-head series by 9-3 against Radwanska but also equalled Serena Williams’ 2003 record of 21 match winning streak to the start of the season.

"I had very good motivation because I knew she's a very good player," the beaming Belarusian stated in a post-match press conference. "I have to play a very good match and show excellent
tennis to beat her. I hope I was a good example of women's tennis."
The top seed stormed into the Indian Wells Tennis Garden and stroke out the opening six games in a row. She was never threatened with any breakpoint and cashed in half of the six break opportunities
to register this spectacular 6-0 score line.
She kept momentum rolling into the following set and went on a five-game rampage. Azarenka was serving for double bagels but the Pole showed some resistance and cashed in the only break
chance. After Radwanska held her serve for the first time in the seventh game, the Belarusian sealed the set with a 6-2 win after smoothly plucking her serve.

The 22-year-old committed almost similar amount of unforced errors but smashed 26 winners as compared to Radwanska’s 7, which made the difference.
"If she plays like that she's not going to lose any match soon," Radwanska praised the Belarusian. "She has been on fire the last few months. She's very, very consistent, playing very good
tennis from the first to the last ball."
Next in line for the highest ranked player of this WTA (Women’s Tennis Association) hard court event is Angelique Kerber of Germany. The 18th seed stunned China’s Na Li in straight
sets to set-up this epic battle.

"If she plays like that she's not going to lose any match soon," Radwanska said. "She has been on fire the last few months. She's very, very consistent, playing very good tennis from the first to the last ball. She moves well and hits the ball really well.
You know, it's just really hard to play against her."
