Vital half-centuries from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Warriors-c861 in the 8th match of the ongoing Ryobi One-Day Cup, played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground

The match kicked off with the Warriors winning the toss and deciding to bat first – however, the Bushrangers’ http://www.senore.com/Cricket/John-Wayne-Hastings-c68914 (12-1-37-3) did not allow their batsmen to settle in at the crease for too long, and eventually bowled
them out for a paltry total.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Davis-c53314, however, went
on to team up with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sam-Whiteman-c88206 (18) for a 34-run stand, which got the team total up to 62.
Both batsmen were eventually dismissed in successive overs – Davis by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Travis-Birt-c2707 remained unremarkable with 4 runs, and was soon sent back to the pavilion by
Hastings, but skipper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mitchell-Marsh-c1974 (51), teamed up for a 55-run partnership for the 5th wicket, which got their side's total up to 125.
Voges was dislodged by Player of the Match Herrick, who followed it up with the wickets of Hilton Cartwright (4) and M http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Nathan-Coulter-Nile-c2070 managed a mere 8-run contribution before Hastings
sent him packing, and while http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Nathan-Rimmington-c2072 (14) attempted to resurrect the innings, their 29-run stand for the ninth wicket was brought to a quick end by Herrick, who sent both batsmen back to the pavilion in the 49th
over. The Warriors eventually found themselves all out at 181.
The chase posed no problems for the Bushrangers, who reached 185 within 34 overs, at the expense of just one wicket. Aaron Finch (80*) set up a 74-run opening partnership with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Chris-Rogers-c1249 (27), which came to an end with the dismissal of the latter in the
18th over, at the hands of Cartwright. However, Finch moved on seamlessly, going on to set up an unbeaten 111-run stand with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Glenn-Maxwell-c60189 (58*), which saw Victoria comfortably to 185, with 9 wickets and 100 deliveries still remaining.
