The Victorian era covered the years when Queen Victoria reigned, from 1837 until 1901.  Because it was such a long period of time and saw so many changes, we often break it down into Early Victorian, Mid-Victorian and Late Victorian; the early period still had the last vestiges of the Regency Period.
