  1. Victorian and Gothic are two very different periods in design/art, but I think I know what you're looking for.

You could use a Victorian color scheme in your bedding, throw pillows, and draperies.  The Victorian Period was known for excess and flamboyance, so using a lot of throw pillows with a lot of different colors will work well.  Layering window treatments is good, too.  The more the merrier.

When I think of Gothic inspirations, I think of architecture, statuary, etc.  Perhaps you could use a pedestal for a plant or a sculpture.  Hanging old looking art on the walls will help achieve the look, too.

  2. You should look at elements of the Gothick style as the Victorian revival was termed. You could make wall panels - lancet shaped like church windows - friend of mine had all the metal window screens from a demolished church in his attic living room - amazing effect. Introduce some black and white - bedlinen perhaps or a rug. A fur throw for the bed perhaps. A bit of decadence never goes amiss. Accesorise with jewel-like colours - ruby, sapphire and emerald, and lots of candle sticks (but don't burn the place down).

  3. Goth?... lots of black and white and lace.
