The Bianconeri player believes that the Old Lady owes its spectacular season to its unbreakable defence; insists the right approach won them the game.
Juventus completed another wonderful win, this time a 4-0 triumph over relegation-candidate Novara, and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leonardo-Bonucci-c22064 has underlined the importance of Juventus’s defensive strength.
The centre-back insisted that the added strength at the back is one of the pillars that support their success in the league.  The defender insisted that the Old Lady’s impenetrable defence is the main secret behind the team’s phenomenal
move from strength to strength with each passing game.
While talking to the press, the former Bari defender said:
“Our success at the back is an added value. I think our unbreachable defence is one of the secrets of this Juventus side.”
The Bianconeri remain the only unbeaten side in the league this season, and their success has a lot to do with their defence, that has conceded only once in their last nine league games, while the team has scored 23 in the process.
It is this spectacular performance that has seen them overtake Champions AC Milan to the top of the table, with a three-point lead.
Bonucci insisted that the team were prepared to face a Novara as stout as Cesena before them. The defender insisted that the key to the game was the right focus, with which they entered the filed against the team placed in the
red zone.
The Bianconeri player insisted that the early lead was crucial in the game, and allowed the team to capture the three points easily from the game.
The centre back went on to say that the consecutive victories in a solid fashion are a testament to the great players in the squad, and a great manager at the helm. However, he maintained that the club is far from satisfied, and
insisted that their focus is on winning their upcoming game.
“We took to the field with the right focus, possessing the hunger of those who want to win. We instantly managed to get things going in our favour, and did well to immediately put the game to bed. It was a good victory that’s come
from a great team, a great Coach and a great project. We’ll now think ahead to Wednesday, because we still haven’t achieved anything.”
Juventus will play Lecce in their next Serie A game in midweek.
