Victory in the Consolation Final Of The Irish Grand National Hurdle became a joy for trainer Jason Foster
Among the Grade OR events scheduled at Harold’s Cross race track on the 28th of October, 2011, the Irish show Consolation race spotlighted the English trainer Jason Foster’s hounds. The Consolation Final Of The Irish Grand National Hurdle race
covering 525 yards distance placed the fortunate trainer’s champs at first and second position.
The €500 purse winner Billis Renegade’s impressive chase helped him in hitting the wire. In the show with even odds, J Foster’s victorious dog commenced his chase from trap 1, wearing red and white jacket.
His early pace was quite inspiring, which later on became beneficial for the hound. Keeping his abrupt tempo constant, the fawn dog relentlessly dashed through the track, due to his swift and sure attitude the three-year-old was eventually in the lead.
Sustaining his position, J Foster’s winner was able to cross the finish line in total 29.18 seconds.
Besides hitting the wire, Billis Renegade accomplished in over throwing the trap 6 racer, Bobs The Master by 2 lengths. The black dog was also in for trainer J Foster, but unfortunately his pace was not enough to compete with his contender.
The four-year-old dog, Bobs The Master was sent in with 6 – 1 odds. As he began his chase wearing white and black jacket with red number, the hound was left quite far away, due to his lethargic and sluggish pace.
J Foster’s trap 6 racer inauspiciously was not able to acquire the pointer spot, even though he tried every chance to dash through the lot of hounds.
It took 29.34 seconds for Bobs The Master to reach the finish line, at second place.
Following J Foster’s hound was the trap 3 racer Forest Rico, who unfortunately lost the quest by 1 length.
The black dog for trainer F Black was in with 5 – 4 probability. His slow start became a major drawback, though later on he kept on surging but all in vain.
Crossing over in 29.42 seconds, Forest Rico finished third in the race.
Trainer Brennan’s trap 5 racer, Tired Before, was the only b***h among the pack of hounds. The three-year-old b***h unluckily lost the race 7 lengths behind the winner, and in the process lost any chance of winning the purse.
The trap 4 racer Catunda champ was chasing the lure for trainer T Lynch, but his early dawdling pace became a reason for his defeat. The three-year-old black took 30.06 seconds, to wrap up his chase at fifth spot.
The last contender, who managed to cross the line in 30.14 seconds, was Alright Flash. Trainer O’Hanlon’s fawn dog with 6 – 1 odds, sadly came sixth in the chase.
Winning the purse on the Irish land was a big achievement for the English trainer J Foster, who’s both dogs attained the top two positions in the Consolation Final Of The Irish Grand National Hurdle.
