  1. Both. More luck.

  2. Well if you look at the net run rate, its the only side apart frrom bangalore and deccan chargers to have a runrate below, 0, infact it is even less than  -1. this shows the games they have won have been very close, and can go either way, so there is a big element of luck. for example, when Chennai won of the last ball against delhi, in which for some stupid reason he was man of the match, he almost lost them teh game after scoring just a run a ball 33. Then chennai won because of the wind and rain, literally, lol, then the won by 4 runs gainst a very early weak mumbai side, then they won by 7 runs against bangorlaor ect... hes a very overrated cricketer, its the same way people in india said it was all down to him and the youngsters, lol, that india won the cb series. it was almost down to sachin that india won, plus Rohit sharma averaged only 31, and utthapa averaged a pathetic 19.

  3. because of both reasons

but i think dhoni played a major role in the victory!

  4. i think its due to his captiancy.........

  5. due to their luck.

  6. absolutely luck .....its always with the oponents of our KNIGHTRIDERS team the four, the drop catch  all r luck ... and i thnk d DHONI`s injury is fake dey may try to keep dhoni from d high temp and  to keep him fresh

  7. You seem to be a fan of the Kolkata Knight Riders. Well the team is not"Dhoni's team" but the Chennai Superkings. They batted quite well and bowled very well. I guess if Fleming and Patel could bat out Sharma and Akthar at times even picking up a couple of boundaries(not of edges), they were well and truly going to win. So there is no qn of luck, should be his captaincy. Most of the ppl aroud seem to be jealous of Dhoni frankly.

  8. Dhoni is very hard-working. He is also a very good captain. Lady luck is with Dhoni. It is because of both, luck and hard-work. His team-mates are also very co-operative.

  9. lucky sheer luck

  10. LUCK

Dhoni is not a good captain

  11. Probably something to do with the foreign players in the side & a lotta luck.

  12. luck since they won against kolkatta knight riders by DL method

  13. OK,according to others LUCKY =  sitting without scoring runs/taking wickets and Winning matches isnt it ??

should Dravid be replaced as Captain for Indian Team ?

About 80% here (who answered this question)  are From Other Countries, thats why they are jelous about him

I will say Jayawardene(who led his team to finals in 2007 WC),Ponting,Vaughaun(Winning Ashes with PURE   LUCK  ) ,Ganguly (Who led Team India through the Finals in 2003WC)are also lucky Captains,Any Problems ?

Kaushik Ram : I'll accept Rahul as Good captain, but the questioner is concentrating on DHONI and his captaincy,I feel pity for my Indians, who think that Their wins r LUCKY....

  14. only luck and rain.

  15. Luck means what.Is it a thing come and often.Only hard work pays rich dividends.

  16. Always LUCK & that big mouth guy takes the creditibility.. Even last test against South Africa, Kumble was unfit & this Dhoni did not do anything in the game but we won & name recorded Dhoni....

  17. it is only due to his luck..............coz dhoni's luck only help our team to win t20 world cup so dhoni is lucky captain than gud captain                                                                                                       This is to "AN INSPIRATION" he is saying that dhoni is a good captain it may be true but he is should be remember that rahul is also a gud captain he should accept this he should remember that in rahul'scaptaincy only we won test series in windies&england .what is his reply to me.

  18. To all the above answerers: Chennai Super Kings is a great team, with great players. They are going to win the IPL, not only because of great captaincy and a little luck, but also because of pure talent.

  19. absolutely luck

  20. its really due to the luck.. and not due to his captaincy.. ganguly and sehwag are the best captains

  21. As a capitain he is riding on lots of luck,

  22. A mix of luck and pluck! both luck and skill! fortune favours the brave!

  23. BOTH

  24. Purely luck. We have seen much better captains than MS Dhoni. He is the luckiest guy in Indian cricket.

Edit: To "An inspiration"-I have praised Dhoni's captaincy in T20 WC. I never said here that Dhoni was responsible for Ganguly's exit. Ganguly himself is an inconsistent cricketer. i admit that fully. I only said that he is lucky. Not only me, many others answered in the same tune. I believe that everyone has the right to express their opinion in this forum. If it offended you, then i am sorry.

Perhaps you don't know that Bengal has produced the most number of patriots, who laid down their lives for their country in the struggle for independence. Ever heard about the man called Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose? .

  25. none..........

it was due to the dumb rain......

    that even in summer............

  26. luck & captiancy both. a well as all the players are playing as a team so thats the reason

  27. both.........

  28. its pure luck only ! they can not win the cup !

  29. A super blend of both luck and good captaincy resulted CSK's victory.  Dhoni lost a good toss, but due to Ganguly he got the opportunity to bat 2nd and play according to the situation (there was a forecast of rain)
