The head coach of Fiorentina is extremely proud of his team and lauded the decision of his team to perform when it mattered in the Serie A at the San Siro stadium.
The Viola have been getting better as the season has gone on; however, the same cannot be said about the opposition that the Gigliati took on 12th match day of the Serie A campaign. The same could not be said about their opposition on Sunday,
AC Milan, who have been underperforming during this year and are witnessing a great deal of turmoil and unrest within the squad as well.
The morale has been extremely low in the Rossoneri camp due to their form of late; and they failed to cause any problems to the visitors on Sunday. Vincenzo Montella set up his side to brace them for a competitive match at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium; however,
due to a few errors made by the Rossoneri players, the Viola outfit went into the ascendency in the match. They were extremely competitive and looked by far the hungrier side on the evening.
Montella was extremely happy with the victory sustained over the Rossoneri outfit and commended the team for performing the way they did. He remarked that despite the fact that luck favoured them in certain instances; it was still up to them to finish off
those chances. “These are three deserved points, even if we were a little lucky in the final minutes. I really liked the way we played, because the team showed it understood each moment of the match. We might’ve been a little less spectacular and a little more clinical
compared to the start of the season, but still could have finished it off earlier.”
The Artemio Franchi outfit are in the fourth place of the Serie A standings with 24 points.
