Video Camera Issues...?

Question

I have a Sharp Camcorder model VL-E685U that recordes onto an 8mm Casette tape. I wanted to know how to convert the tape onto my computer because the camera does not have a pc in port on it. It only has an output to watch it on the tv or record it to the vcr. I need to know how to put the video on my pc. Also I need to do it from my house, I dont want to go down to some fancy recording studio just to have my tape converted. But if thats my only option I guess I could take it in. Please help

Get a dvd recorder (cheap) and record your stuff on dvd the rip your dvds on your computer
