I bought a Sony Mini DV Digital Handy Cam and the video quality isn't good. When i attach the AV cables to my tv the quality looks like real life. But when i put it on my computer via usb cord to put on youtube it comes out fidgety and the quality sucks. Can i put a high gigabite SD card in to make it better? Or can someone give me some help!

  1. That's because minidv camera need a firewire connection,

If you have a mini dv (cassette) camcorder….

Your dv camcorder needs a firewire connection (ieee 1394) in order to download video, your PC probably did not come with a firewire port, so you will have to buy one and install it, since most computers (except possibly brand new) don't come with a firewire port, your camcorder did not come with a firewire cord so you have to purchase a cord too. Your camcorder did come with a USB cord and that is used for downloading stills from your camcorder. Make sure your camera is in playback mode.

  2. try Ulead video studio software to capture with fire wire cable(and card) edit and finalise your clip in proper format.

Proper means if qualty you select is bestthan better  and file size to upload increases (and people stay away from big file sizes on net.
