Video Camera as Webcam? (WILL AWARD 10 POINTS)?

Question

I've been wanting to hook my video camera up to my laptop so I can use it as a webcam. I've bought a wire and it fits perfectly into my video camera, but not into my laptop because it doesn't have a "firewire port" or something like that.

Does anyone know where I can buy a firewire port that will plug into my laptop? Like at a local store like BestBuy, Target, Walmart, stores like those?

I'll look at all answers.

You will need also the webcam software http://www.willingsoftware.com/help/howt... which knows firewire connection.

You need to buy a Firewire PC   ** CARD **.

It's overkill using a video camera as a webcam when you can buy a regular webcam for what you will be paying for that Firewire PC card that you need to buy.
