Okay, Well, I want to start a video blog or something [because I have too much time on my hands]. The camera I have is..Kodak Easyshare C513. I need a free video editor for it. I've tried Windows Movie Maker, it says the file isn't right for it. Also, as a note, I can't use the cd-drive on my computer. I don't know why but it doesn't work.

  1. Everyone seems to have this Easyshare problem.

I've found that the best and easiest solution is Mp4cam2avi. Download it here for free... http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles...

You can change the video to AVI, which you can use in Windows Movie Maker. Most other converters s***w up the audio or frame rate.

And just in case, Windows Movie Maker will crash for some people when you import large AVI files. If that happens, go to Tools > Options > Compatibility, and uncheck any filters that end in .ax

Hope that helps. Email me if you need more help. el_blingadore@yahoo.com

  2. Heres a tricky one but should be easy enough to solve if you can follow those steps:

    1. Download and install VLC media player.

    2. Got to this website and download kodaktompeg.txt by rightclicking / save target as.

    4.rename this file to whateveryouwant.bat

    5. drag and drop your video file on this new file. It will create a new .MPG that you will be able to use in windows movie maker.

    6. tell us if that worked for you ;)

  3. I've had some similar problems! try and see if there is any other editing software installed on your computer, like Sonic DVD. as for your cd drive, it must also be able to burn DVDs. I just had to have mine replaced which can cost about 60 to 80 bucks. hope that helps!
