Video Capture Card help?

Ok I have a video Capture Card and a 2 way AV socket scart thing.. and I dont know how to record.. i think i have plugged everything into the correct places... but not sure... A light came up green And i dont know what it means... So i thought "Ok I am recording" And when IU went onto the compouter I never knew how to upload it onto my computer I need help!!!

You need to give us a lot more information - what are you trying to capture from, what sort of capture card is it, and can you be more specific about your cabling - I'm struggling to get my head around the idea of a  "2 way AV socket scart thing" :-)
