Video Cassette to DVD?

Question

So I have 3 video cassettes with some footage of my trip to Mexico, How can I get my video cassettes onto DVD?

Do I need to take my cassettes somewhere? (if so tell me where) , Do I need to buy a machine to copy the cassette's video to a DVD?

Oh and btw I don't have the camera, it is my friend's and she lives in Mexico....

I'll do anything just let me know what to do...

go to circuit city or best buy, they should be able to help you.  I dont see any problem doing it.
