Video Editing help!!!?

OK, so I have Premiere Pro CS3 and the sony HDR-SR11. When I got to import footage into Premiere Pro, it says that the file is either unsupported or damaged (it's not damaged). How do I convert to a supported file? AVCHD codec to something like AVI or MPEG-2?

PLEASE HELP!!!

What it means is the footage is unsupported. Meaning, that wherever you are getting the raw footage is doing the footage in some obscure format that is not recognised by one of the industry leaders in video editing software.

You may have to run it through a converter first before you can run it in CS-3.
