  1. most dvd writing software like nero will automatic shrink files to fit onto standard disc with not much loss in quality or you can use a dual layer disc but they cost more a standard disc will hold 4gb and a dual about 8.5gb.if your dvd player is divx compatible you could turn the video file into divx and it will shrink it to about 700mb with no loss of quality at all meaning you can fit loads on a standard disk.you can get divx for free of the net


  2. Use a dual layer disc and try to shrink the video using compression. DVD shrink should work. You lose noticeable quality if the video is compressed lower than 75%.
