Question:

Video Game voice acting?

High aspirations, I know, but I have always wanted to be a voice actor for animated movies or video games. I have (at least in my opinion) a fairly decent speaking voice, and have many years of music theater experience. I was just wondering if anyone knew how I would go about doing something like that? I live in southern California. Any info would be incredibly helpful...

  1. I would suppose that you'd need to put together a voice reel and shop that around. Since voice actors are just like regular actors, you might need to get an agent who can handle the business aspect of contacting companies. If you don't have enough material for a voice reel and voice acting resume, you might want to start taking any voice acting jobs you can to build up your resume: radio promos, student animated films, pro bono jobs, etc.
