Question:

Video Testimony in Court Hearing?

I am a complainant in a court hearing coming up. However, I am in a foreign country, and cannot make the hearing. My family has power of attorney, and set up the hearing and planned on representing me.

Now the opposing lawyer says if I am not there, the case should be dismissed. Do you think I can ask and set up a video feed to keep the hearing from being canceled?

Thanks

  1. How much would that cost?  Does the case merit the expense?  Who would pay it.  Most times if it is important enough for yiou to bring a complaint the judge would expect you to think it was important enough for you to be there.
