Video camera problems!?

I think its a Samsung SC-D353

I'm trying to take the videos off of my camera and put them on the computer.

I'm In windows Movie Maker. I clicked on Capture Video Device and I'm now in the Capture Video Step. I've clicked capture video but the screen is black.

My video camera is plugged in to the computer. It is turned on to the 'Play recorded videos' option. and on the screen it says USB streaming. But when I click 'stop capture' and 'finish' and try to watch the video... the screens all black :(

Am I being ignorant or is there something wrong with my computer/camera?

  1. Check if your camcorder has a DV port.  DV port is used to download video from camcorder to PC. USB port  is used to download Picture Photo (rarely people used to download Video).

Plug in camcorder to different computer to see if same thing happens again.
