How do I get the video to my computer! my project is due on wednesday, and i HAVE to get the video on my computer!

  1. The USB is for transferring still images. There's also a firewire output on your cam, and that's what you use for transferring the video to your computer. You'll have to get a non-linear editor (Adobe Preimere, Sony Vegas etc.) to capture the footage from your cam. Or if you're on a budget you can use Windows Movie Maker which really isn't too bad of you just want to do basic edits.

First connect the firwire to your computer, and then turn your cam on. You'll get a pop-up box saying that you have a firewire device connected to your computer and asking what you'd like to do with it. Just click it off. Then bring up whatever app/video editor you want to do the editing in and choose to "capture video". As to editing after you've done the capture, you'll have to consult the help file of the video app.

  2. FireWire!
