Video chat on Macbook (ichat)?

I have a macbook, but my ichat won't work. It works when I'm away from home on another internet source, but there seems to be something wrong with mine. Is there a requirement for internet to make the video chat work? HELP ME PLEEEEASE

sounds like you may have a firewall up in your system that is blocking ichat.

have a play around in your system settings under 'location'
