Video connection probelms?

well first of all i built this computer with a bestech tower and a gateway2000 motherboard with a20gb hard drive and a16gb hard drive as a slave.now" with my cd player and my hp dvd player it comes and off with no probelm,my processor is an intel celron400mhz but my video connection to my monitor is a no show and the monitor works fine with other computers and the video card is in good shape. so what am i'm overlooking? that computer is runnung now no picture,help me out please?

How did you install the OS if you have no video?

Most Likely you have the wrong video drivers or a bad video setup.

If you can boot and see the setup screen check the video settings. Start with VGA.
