Question:

Video conversion and DVD?

Ok, heres the deal. I'm looking for a way that I can burn movie files of various different formats to a CD-R and be able to watch them on a stand alone DVD player. If there is a program out there that for some reason I can't seem to find by Googling then I would be much obliged to whomever can tell me about it. If there isn't anything freeware out there then I'll pay for it, I really dont care, I just want it to work how I want it to.

It will need to compress the file to fit onto a CD-R, convert it into a DVD acceptable format, and possibly allow me to add subtitle files when needed. I would say the majority of files are .avi format with the occasional .mkv so if it is only able to work with these types of files that would be enough.

Reasons:

++++CD-R's are cheap and so am I

++++I want to clear up space on my hard drive
