Video driver ati radeon x1200

Question

I am try to find out info on this video driver. I have ati radeon x1200 series (chip type 0x791F). I am trying to run a game that needs directx 9 and says the tech support for the game says that OK cards for the game are x1300. I am guessing that numerically x1200 is going to be the worse one and not going to run the game. The games website only says that ati 9500 and earlier, including 7000 and 8000 series are not supported. Am I right? Did I figure it out, should I be giving up about now looking for answers as to why this game wont work? lol. Thanks for your help!
(FYI the games is Sims 2 and trying to get it to run on vista computer is the ultimate problem)
