Well this was a group project to make a movie. We shot many scenes out of order for the convience of the people in it. So now we're trying to figure out how toput the scenes back in the right order. We used the Sony Handycam DCR-DVD92 and a -RW dvd. Do we have to finalize it before we can edit it on the computer? Do we really need a usb cable? Whats the best way to solve this problem? PLEASE HELP ASAP!

  1. You will have to go thru a process called video editing, where video files can be arranged in any order, cut and the full movie enhanced thru effects, transitions, filters, music, titles and give credit to where credit is due like a Hollywood movie.

    for starters, free Windows Movie Maker* (XP-wmm2 & Vista-wmm6) provides simple & easy way to learn the ropes < click help for details>. Upgrade to intermediate video editing applications accdg. to need & skill level

          video editing process- XP/wmm2

          >>> open wmm- start/all programs/wmm->TASK pane

    1. Import supported files- video, pic, music

    2. Edit- drag/drop video files->timeline & enhance w/effects, transition, music & titles

    3. Finish (render)- save Movie –OK for youTube, also save Project.msmmw file

          >>> Share-burn to DvD- use DvD authoring app, e.g.,DvD Flick or Nero

    Similarly: Vista/wmm6- Import/ Edit/ Publish=>auto-shifts to WindowsDvD authoring app->burn to DvD

    However, wmmaker doesn't support dvd.vob files, hence, convert vob first to wmv or avi .

    - download Prism converter free

    - insert dvd disc to pc drive and add vob files to Prism

    - convert fro vob to wmv or avi

    - import to wmm

    If vob files cannot be seen by Prism from the unfinalized dvd disc, u may have to finalize dvd disc first.
