Video editing software help!!?

Question

If anyone watches "Wizards of Waverly Place", i have a question. When Alex says, "Animosa Espinosa", her dad turns into a goat. He magically forms or like morphs into the goat with a cool visual effect. What software can do this? My camera is a DV. Thank you!!

OK...haven't see that TV show myself but it sounds like a morphing effect. You can do simple morphs with free software like Winmorph. The stuff you see in movies or on TV is done with high end tools and composited so for me to go into that in detail won't be helpful in turning your own mother-in-law into a goat or cow. You can get the simple version of the effect with Winmorph though and it has actually been used in many TV commercials over the years too. I'm sure it will do the magic if you put your head down into it....but it's not quick and easy.
