Video from camcorder to pc?

I have a Panasonic PV-GS250, and I have the USB attached to my PC at the moment. When it connects, the camcorder shows up in "My Computer", but I can't seem to take the videos and save them to my PC. Any way you guys can help me?

The PV-GS250 is a MiniDV camcorder - you'll need to capture the video via firewire rather than USB, which is just for stills.  If your PC hasn't already got one you'll need to install a firewire card. They're cheap, easy to install and readily available. You'll also need a firewire cable.

Once everything's connected you can capture and edit the video with Windows Movie Maker (it should already be on your PC).
