Video help plz?

hi i've tried putting some video footage from my camera onto the pc but when i upload them they tend to do this thing where they glitch and skip a few seconds

does anyone know what this is/how to fix it?

try converting the videos to other format

Check with the manufacturers support site for your camera!!

Not knowing what type of camcorder/camera or computer you're using handicaps us somewhat.  

If your PC's hard drive isn't spinning fast enough (newer ones spin @ 7200 RPM) you could be dropping frames. If it's an older PC, your RAM and video RAM may be lacking as well...
