Video help with my camera.?

I have a Sony Handycam. my parents video tape my soccer games. I was wondering if there is anyway that I can play my videos on my computer and freeze the images. And then make photos out of the frozen images?

is this possible? and if so, how?

  1. Of course you can. It depends what kind of a computor you are on, and what kind of program you are using on your computor. The simplest program that comes on  a PC, is Windows Movie maker, in Movie maker, there is a little button in the canvas window (where you view the clips) and it should look like a camera, when you are playing back your clip, press the button and it will freeze the frame and then you can save the frame anywhere on your computor that you want. If you are on a MAC, its the smae thing, only with iMovie. Under the canvas, there should be the same sort of button. If you are using a more advanced program (it doesn't sound like you are) but if you are message me with the name of the program, and i can help you out with that.


  2. Too bad you don't have a Sony VAIO. It comes preinstalled with that exact software!! It is called still capture or frame capture. Just search for it under freeware & see what you find. Good luck!!
