Video on one screen, desktop on the other?

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to multitask with dual screens in this way, that is, play a video on one screen (tv) and run regular desktop programs on the other (monitor). I already have my dual screen setup with my video card, and I can use either screen, but I would like to know if this setup is possible, and if so, how. I already know that it wouldn't be possible to share sound in the same way, but i can make that sacrifice. Thanks.

  1. Yep you can I run 2 screens all day at work and some times run 3 at  home, right click on your desktop and select properties the click on the settings tab, from there click on the monitor with 2 on and tick the box that says "extend my windows desktop to this monitor" now open media player and run it in reduced size ( not full screen) you can then drag it to the other screen and click maximize.

  2. ---Have you tried dragging the video over to the desired screen?

---Searching for"monitors" would help you more than "screens"

    -HTH
