Video recorder cassette conversion?

I have some 8mm video recorder cassettes that i want to convert to vhs. I have seen empty vhs tapes with a slot for cassette which is an easy option. I have only been able to find these vhs tapes for 16mm cassettes.

Do you know if 8mm cassettes can be converted this way, so i can watch them on tv with my vhs player. If so do you know where i can buy these vhs tapes. Thank you

  1. The converter you have seen is for VHS-C video cassette. Please check your own video cassettes and see what type of cassette they are. If it has VHS-C printed on them, then yes. If it has Hi8 or Digital8 printed on them, then the converter will not work. In that case you will have to use the original camcorder and a standard VHS recorder to transfer the recording. Or you can pay a fee and have them converted to DVDs in some shops.
