I just bought a Sony KDS-55A3000 55" Rear Projection TV and I'm trying to find anyone that knows the best setup to get the best picture quality. I only have it hooked up component right now until I get a blue ray player. I began watching my first dvd since we bought it tonight and the picture looks very weird lots of yellow and colors not so bright. I've messed with it a little but nothing. It looks great when I watch my Direct TV. Any suggestions please???

  1. Make sure you are using the right jacks. You know, red, yellow and white cables to their corresponding jacks or all five cables if you are using HD component cables.

I'm not sure if you have done this already, but make sure that the cables are in the right spots. I have had an issue where I didn't put the red, blue, and green cables correctly and god wacky colors. It seems that each of those cables is responsible for a color, so also make sure that no cable slipped.

And who knows, you may just have a bad DVD, although I don't think you would be asking this question unless you tried it on more than one DVD.
