I have windows media/video file films that i want to make stills from. How can I do this? Is there any software for PCs that lets you pause a clip and save the picture of it??

  1. Windows MovieMaker will let you pause and move frame by frame... then grab the frame you want. Be advised that the quality of the still will not be so good. Video and stills are captured in different manners.

If you can't get this done, then pause the playback and do "ALT-PRT SCR" (this is how you do a Screen capture) and immediately paste into something... like PowerPoint or Word. Again, the quality won't be so good.
